Calibre was formed in April 1988 as a five-piece band comprising lead vocals/lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboards and a saxophonist. They were mainly all ex-Oasis (of course not the Gallagher brothers’ Oasis) and ex-Winelight members; both very popular bands in their day.

The talented musicians have many years of live-gigging experience and are well established on the circuit. In the past, Calibre has always received bookings by recommendation and these have often resulted in repeat bookings, year-on-year.

Calibre is always well presented, prompt and highly professional in their performance and conduct at your event. We take pride in our high standards and endeavour to help you achieve success at your event.

If you wish, we are also able to quote for a four-piece band, depending on your requirements which will be at a reduced rate as this will exclude the saxophonist.

During your meal we are able to play live background music at a sensible volume, should you require it and once all the formalities have concluded we gradually build up the atmosphere with our extensive repertoire. You and your guests will have a great time!

During our breaks we have the facility to play music through our sound system too, so there’s never a dull moment.

We are fully insured and our equipment is P.A.T. tested, as this is often a requirement at the types of venues we perform at.
