Calibre, comprising lead guitar/lead vocals, bass, drums, keyboards and saxophone, formed in 1988 to provide live music for office parties, dinner dances, wedding receptions and other functions. Past clients include P&O Cruises, Free Mason lodges, Lions, Giants of London, GOAL(UK), The British Standards Institute, Tata International, The Heritage Foundation and The Richmond Cricket Club at some of London's most prestigious venues including Lord’s Cricket Ground, The Brewery, Alexandra Palace and many of the top hotels. Often bands post “studio recordings” with overdubs and added backing vocals on their websites and we feel this to be deceiving as this is not representative of how the live performance will actually sound on the day of your event. The following recordings were made using a “low tech” tape recorder during some live performances. In these recordings, the relative balance of instruments and vocals will depend on where the microphone ‘happened to be’ during the recording and is not representative of the actual sound balance. So these are just a rough guide to how Calibre would actually sound at your event.
